RI-14Ri 'Suppressive Persons in Scientology's Safe Space'
from Ambassador for Mankind
Message # RI-14Ri for Internet
(A Scientologist wrote to me
that he is completely baffled
by the fact that
obvious Suppressive Persons
who demonstrably ruined
Scientology Orgs or Flag Service Org,
were not removed
but were [and continue to be] allowed to create havoc for years.
Here are some notes on that.)
A lot of people come into Scientology
IN ORDER NOT TO HAVE TO CONFRONT SUPPRESSIVES OR SUPPRESSION.
They call this then a 'safe space.'
They say Scientology, a Scientology Org they mean,
is a safe space.
Of course they get, they become the effect of,
exactly what they don't want to confront.
Some people,
- like the late International Justice Chief
Hamish Hamilton, for instance,
(better known internationally
by his previous life as Heinrich Himmler SS) -
come into Scientology
in order to not be detected as a Suppressive.
They also consider Scientology a "Safe Space."
And they "benefit" from the desire of the first category
not to have to look at Suppressives, to 'feel safe.'
People often experience a big relief:
"Ah, finally some place here
where I can feel secure!
Scientology! A Scientology Org!"
And Wham!
The in-the-Org-Suppressive-Person,
or the International Justice Chief,
or the late ED RTC David Miscavige
(now only a look-alike is shown in public),
or the Flag Senior Case Supervisor Richard Reiss
crashes in on them with vehemence,
because it's against their expectations
that there is a Suppressive Person.
At the main railway-station,
they DO expect that Suppressive Persons
might pop up any moment all around them.
But, they expect that there are NO Suppressive Persons
in a Scientology Org.
(It's similar within a family - one often assumes
that one's own family members are not suppressive.)
They expect
that God or L. Ron Hubbard or other Scientologists
have magically removed all Suppressive Persons
from their Orgs [Organizations].
(see also RI-362i 'The incident EVERY Scientologist MUST know' 17 Nov 95
and later RI-Bulletins on that subject ["Serenity"]).
'Policy removes Suppressive Persons from the Org', they say.
No, no,
understanding and FOLLOWING sane Policy
removes Suppressive Persons from Orgs.
It needs a very high level
of understanding, of A-R-C [Affinity, Reality, Communication],
to detect and remove Suppressive Persons
from Scientology Orgs.
People
who only think of themselves,
who want others to also only think of themselves,
will NEVER REMOVE SUPPRESSIVE PERSONS from an Org,
or from any other place for that matter.
Scientology Organizations
are to date the safest hiding place for Suppressives.
(see also RI-889i 'Richard Reiss is "Safe" at Flag' of 17 June 97)
Because no one - no Scientologist, that is - expects them there.
And
when such Suppressive Persons are well-trained, and
when they know the tricks
on how to keep people restimulated [caved in, not looking],
they are hard to remove.
I once found someone
who had been going stark staring insane
because he had gone on a Mission from Italy
to the Pope in Avignon (France), a few centuries ago.
This missionary found out
that that Pope was a Suppressive Person,
but it was so unexpected to find this to be the case,
that he rather went insane
than to calmly confront the fact
"OK, we have a Suppressive Person as our Pope
- I know that now -
what are we now going to do about it!"
People want a 'Safe Space.'
They even use 'Standard Tech' as an instrument
to ENFORCE not looking and
to ENFORCE not being looked at:
As soon as you start looking at, or run a Process [therapy]
that requires looking at Suppressive Persons,
they say: "Stop! That's not Standard Tech!"
That's because
their pretended 'Safe Space' would actually be destroyed
by the recognition of the fact
that there IS a Suppressive Person in it,
or it is because
they are creating a pretended 'Safe Space'
in which they frantically,
and with an enormous output of mental force of intention,
prevent others from finding out
that they themselves are the not-looked-for Suppressive Person.
What is a safe space?
A place
where truth is not hidden,
where communication is unhindered and
where there is enough predictability
and truthful assessment of intentions.
