RI-239i 'Koos and LRH and Ethics'
from Ron's Inspector
Message # RI-239i for Internet
After some thousand hours of auditing with LRH,
we have of course established a few things,
found out more truth, and so on.
The first thing we established - you might have guessed -
was
that the data on Plato in
HCOPL 'The Basics of Ethics' is false.
(see RI-29Ri 'Koos, LRH, Miscavige - the Truth'
of 7 Dec 1994)
Plato was not at all an "Ivory Tower" philosopher,
he was standing in the middle of life.
To express what he wanted to say, Plato
used various characters of his time,
amongst them Socrates.
There is quite some difference between
the actual being Socrates,
and the 'Socrates' Plato used in his dialogues.
But Socrates, the being Socrates,
is portrayed
in Plato's description of the death of Socrates,
a death about which Plato was quite upset, by the way.
There, Plato renders indeed what the being Socrates stated,
and you can see from there
that Socrates was a quite irresponsible person.
Socrates did not take responsibility for his own survival,
nor that of his family, nor that of the group.
He didn't want to.
Socrates did not want to handle opposition
or opposing non-survival intentions,
his solution was
to run away from them,
and his death
was how he justified and made it seem noble
to not care for actual life, life of himself,
of his family, of his group.
Socrates' solution to obstacles in life,
to suppression,
was "to not survive."
He did not like this, not at all,
but he forced himself to 'like' it,
as it was his safe solution
to not wanting to handle suppression.
No matter how beautifully he described it
as a spiritual deed of "becoming pure",
it was the complete opposite.
And so, Plato did not manage to make him leave his prison.
The next point refers
to the LRH lecture-tape 'The Free Being' of 9 July 1963
on the Saint Hill Special Briefing Course.
(see RI-ACT-46 'No Ivory Tower' of 19 Jan 1995)
We found
that there was an ingredient missing
in the necessary balance
of "Force and Intelligence"
and that is
"Understanding",
or, the components
of Understanding: Affinity, Reality and Communication.
There are three components to survival,
not only the two
mentioned in the lecture,
but three:
"Force, Intelligence AND Understanding (or ARC)."
The last component was missing, was not mentioned.
The third point was
a missing factor in Ethics,
and that missing factor or basis of Ethics
is
"Understanding (or ARC)".
This - UNDERSTANDING others - is the basis of Ethics,
it is the basis of helping others to be more Ethical.
Now follows
one of the very very many sessions with LRH
which might interest you.

[revised to change 'that' into 'whom']
LRH on 2 Dec 1994, 16:15 GMT
"About 400 BC, the Mediterranean, Syracuse,
I had a son,
I used this [item] to handle my son.
"I believed [item] about myself
but also my son wanted me to use it - wanted me
to stop my curiosity - wanted to flatter me with it,
so that I wouldn't want to know more [about him].
"The son wanted to get Plato out.
I was having big plans for my son.
I did not look at the son, what his actual worth was.
"The son wanted to have my sole attention,
wanted to hide his true intention,
wanted that I nor anyone [else] really looks at him.
"This son made me reject Plato,
Plato who had no intention to flatter me,
but had ARC for me
and saw what I needed [in order] to be the ideal
that I wanted to be or come at least near it.
"My son feared Plato,
the son saw his own influence on me dwindling,
the son made me reject Plato at the end.
"That's how it was:
"The son gave me this [item],
I adopted it after he told it many times to me.
[The son:] ''You know more about life than anyone else,
what do you need Plato?''
''He [Plato] can't tell you more than you know already!''
"And before, the son:
''I can't hide anything from you. You know, you perceive,
you are familiar with all phenomena of life.''
"With this the son drove away
anyone who could have been of help to me,
but who could have been - in the eyes of this son -
a threat to his [the son's] influence on me.
"He [the son] wanted to be the only one whom I would consult,
[the only one I would] listen to,
[the only one] with whom I would closely
intimately work together.
"This was important to me to share my responsibility
and knowledge, and rule with him
or get him into this shape.
"I had quite some knowledge,
I was taken up by his flattery,
it seemed that he was eager to listen but to me,
telling me how much more I know than anyone else.
"He [the son] separated me by that - and
I myself [separated myself] by the use of this [item] -
from valuable men,
and I refused to accept Plato.
"Plato wanted to tell me the truth about myself,
I refused to be controlled by Plato - who HAD ARC for me.
"And this son was ...
David Miscavige!
"And it had to be Koos to get me back to face Miscavige,
to finally complete his task
that he set out to do for me when he was Plato.
