[Auditor:] How would
            'BEING A TYRANT'
            make you right?

"As a tyrant
  I would not have to render account of what I am doing,
  I do not have to give any explanations
   of my behavior or decisions,
 that is:
  I would enforce
   that no one would be entitled
    to ask me
     about the reasons for a decision
     or the usefulness of it,
     or about my Ethics.

"I will be very evil
  if anybody dares to question my behavior
   or doubt my sanity and ethics.

"Only so, I can be 'right' as a tyrant:
  I have to enforce it,
  so that no one dares to voice anything else
   than that I am right."


[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make you right?

"As a tyrant I would not REALLY be right.

"Being [really] right meaning:
  being someone
   who cares to make survival decisions
   so that the majority of people
    will get along well with each other,
    and will enjoy life,
    and will prosper,
 being right meaning:
   intending and
   being successful in
    keeping suppressive people with
    evil intentions AWAY
      from those people
       who want to live
       caring for each other.


"[But] as a tyrant
 I would NOT care how others get along with each other.

"I would want them only to be tools of my whim,
  who I can use and discard as I want,
   without responsibility
    for
     their lives and dreams and goals.

"I would want them to be like MEST [material things], tools,
  like a hammer, for example,
   obliges,
   does not mind
    whether it is used to smash a beautiful sculpture
    or
    used to drive in nails to repair or build a ship.  LFBD

"As a tyrant
 I would want others to be quiet, obliging,
  when I have an intention on them.

"Quiet like a piece of MEST [material]
  that doesn't have any intentions of its own.

"And that is
  not quite a good analogy [example of something similar],
 because
  MEST has something like an intention of its own.
   Try to pick up mercury (quicksilver) with your hands,
   or lift a 50 ton block without a crane.
   It resists and opposes you in one way or another.

"But:
 like a piece of MEST [material]
  that
   DOESN't MIND for what it is used
  and
   DOES NOT LOOK AT THE ETHICS OF THE ONE WHO COMMANDS IT."



[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make you right?

"As a tyrant I would profess
 to have good intentions on people:
   'People do not know what is good for them.
    I have to TELL them.
    And
     when they do not want to
      do it
       out of their own free will and understanding,
     I have no other choice
      but to force them.'  LFBD

"That's how 'being a tyrant' would make others wrong."


[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make others wrong?

"As a tyrant
 I would not give others a chance
  to demonstrate to me - in many ways -
  that they know something or are gifted:
     'This would be the biggest insult to me
       if they tried to "make me wrong" like this'.  LFBD
     'I evaluated them to be [so] stupid
       that I had to lead,  LFBD
      so they can't come and
       tell me they are NOT stupid, and
       even put evidence there, and
       want acknowledgement, and
       want that I revise my statement about them'.

"This is the tyrant speaking."  LFBD



[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make others wrong?  LF

"You can't be right with a tyrant.  LFBD
 He doesn't WANT you to be right.  LFBD

"For a tyrant, it is wrong
  that another or others
   take responsibility for him.
 For a tyrant, it is wrong
  that another or others want to give him advice.
   'That's insulting!
    As if he wouldn't know, or [couldn't] find it out himself!'

"Although
 - if HE gives someone the order to find something out for him,
   if HE sends out spies
    and they come back with their information,
 'That's something ELSE. HE caused that!'


"How to stay alive and sane
 at the side or under the domination of a tyrant?  LFBD

"He has the intention
  to drive everyone crazy
 and
  to make everyone a piece in his game."  LFBD

[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make others wrong?

"Suppose a group wants to let the tyrant know:
  'We do not need your orders,
   we can be responsible for our survival
    without your orders and even better.'

"NOT ONLY is he opposing that
  because
   he would lose trade privileges and
   slaves and valuable ore
    that he so far had stolen from this group in their country,
 BUT
  he can't imagine
   they would be able to care for their survival
   without his despotic orders."  LFBD



[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make others wrong?

"[With] 'They need him - he doesn't need them.'

"He forces anyone else to serve him,
 but 'he doesn't need them'!

"He would NOT tell the people
 whom he forces to work for him:
  'Thank you for building
   such an impressive pyramid for me.'

"He might have thought
 - if he thought of them at all - :  LFBD
  'These degraded stupid creatures,
    they aren't good for anything else.'
  'They give me problems to feed them.
   They die away like flies, they have no stamina.'  LFBD


[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make others wrong?  LFBD

"A tyrant
  gives so many orders,
   and, contradicting orders at times,
  [exerts] bad control,
  keeps [employs] people with bad control,
   like the slavemasters who serve him directly,
 and
  he does not care
  to find out
   what is needed and wanted, or
   whether his orders are understood,
    and mostly they aren't [understood],
    [so] that people under his domination
      go into apathy,
      stop thinking and evaluating, and
     lose all desire to
      live and be responsible.

"And when he THEN accuses them
  of being unthinking animals,
  he is NEARLY correct in his evaluation.

"A tyrant is a dangerous psychopath and a Suppressive."  LFBD



[Auditor:] How would 'being a tyrant' make you right?  LFBD

[LRH:] "I have,
  with Scientology, and
  with the organizational form of Scientology Churches,
   attempted
    to make people RESPONSIBLE
    for their activities in life.

[Note by Koos: Only up to 1996,
                before the Sea Org,
                before the Guardian Office,
                before the Religious Technology Center,
                before the Office of Special Affairs,
                before the International Association of Scientologists,
                before the World Institute of Scientology Enterprises,
                 that is,
                  but LRH refuses to admit that now.]


[LRH:] "Not only demanding that,
 but
 giving them the possibility to grow,
  step by step,
  into greater responsibility
  over more areas in life
    through auditing,
    through training,
    - developing study tech,
      [so] that people also in their training
       could gain a high understanding of what they study -
  to increase their ARC [understanding]
   for life and
   for their fellow men.


"AND THEN I WITHDREW,
  BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO BE A TYRANT,
  WHO ONLY GIVES ORDERS AND DEMANDS COMPLIANCE!

     but he organized it
      so that others executed the tyranny FOR him,
     in order that others
      would only attribute the good things to him
       and not the tyranny.]
