            RI-395Ri '"Ivory Tower" defined' (Revised)

[Revised to correct
 typographical mistakes and typesetting.]

An Ivory Tower
is a place somebody retreats to
  to think about things,
   out of contact
with the games and sufferings of others.
A person in an Ivory Tower
does not want to see what people around him
   are doing and thinking.
 Usually
it includes the arrogance of somebody who claims
that he needs an Ivory Tower
in order to solve the problems of life
     for himself and for others!

L. Ron Hubbard created an Ivory Tower for himself
after he went Clear on 21 September 1965
  in Saint Hill Manor.
(see RI-373i 'LRH's STATE OF CLEAR Rehabilitated!!' 22 Nov 95)

His purpose was
 to not have to confront
and by himself handle suppression and attacks
   on himself or on Scientology,
but to let others (the Guardian Office, RTC, OSA) do it FOR him.

By 1982, L. Ron Hubbard
had fully climbed the steps of irresponsibility
towards the top of the Ivory Tower.

In January 1986 he jumped off this tower
 in a successful suicide attempt,
after having put the biggest anti-Scientologist
and anti-social being of all time
   - David Miscavige -
in charge of the Church of Scientology.

At an earlier time,
 L. Ron Hubbard created a suppressive group
 of several million members,
who were forced to all sit in an "Ivory Tower" and
   be serene
   but feel very causative,
    while being completely estranged
     or alienated [separated] from life.
This was 14 million years ago,
  in the star constellation Orion
near the star now called Mintaka.
(see RI-362i 'The incident EVERY Scnist MUST know' 17 Nov 95)

L. Ron Hubbard's statements
that Plato lived in an Ivory Tower and
 that Socrates was ethical
(as he said in HCOPL and HCOB 'Basics of Ethics'
       of 12 July 1980, Revised 5 November 1982,
      which is included
in the Life Orientation Course, the 'LOC'.)
 are false,
 and
  were intended to cover up
   the truth that
Socrates also had been part of L. Ron Hubbard's
    "Ivory Tower" group
     - we call this
the "serenity-incident of LRH 14 million years ago".
(see RI-362i 'The incident EVERY Scnist MUST know' of 17 Nov 95)
(see RI-29Ri 'Koos, LRH, Miscavige - the Truth' of 7 Dec 94)

Many of these former groupmembers of LRH
 have become Scientologists,
  or ex-Scientologists.
  (Many are mentioned in RI-362i).
