Thomas Alva Edison invented and developed
 a workable electric light-bulb.


This was a good invention,
 people liked it,
 they did not have to be
  forced or manipulated or lied to
  in order to buy these.


They wanted to have these light-bulbs and
  the electrical wiring and generators
   necessary to use the electrical light, and
 they were willing to pay for it, and
 so they got it.


Nowadays I don't think there is any place on Earth
 where they don't use electrical light-bulbs.


Nobody
 had to sign an agreement
 that
  he won't get any light-bulbs
 UNLESS
  he unreservedly admires
   - Thomas Alva Edison
   - his wife
   - his children
   - his friends
   - his deputies
   - his factory-foremen
   - his factory-workers
   - his salesmen
   - his lawyers
 [that he admires them]
  on all counts and
  for all time.

And that
 when he does not
  sign such an agreement and
  does not keep it all the time,
   he is not allowed to buy any light-bulbs.


What's more,
 half of the money
  someone would spend on buying light-bulbs from Edison
 was NOT used by Edison
  to hire thugs (bandits) and lawyers
   in order to smash the sold and delivered light-bulbs again
    at the place where they were installed
    after being properly bought by the customer,
   smashed because the customer also put a light-bulb
    in the barn for his cows,
   smashed because Edison considered
    this was degrading his invention.


Edison did NOT do all these things
 with his invention and development of the light-bulb.


And that is the difference between
 Thomas Alva Edison and L. Ron Hubbard.
