RI-449i 'A Rule For Freedom'
from Ambassador for Mankind
Message # RI-449i for Internet
The rule is:
"Things are as they ARE
and
not as you would like them to appear."
In other words:
You expect things to be a certain way.
And they are not necessarily THAT way.
In fact, they are almost never that way,
if you look closely enough.
The ability to achieve and maintain freedom
lies in the willingness
to perceive
BEYOND
what you are expecting to perceive, and
BEYOND
what others are allowing you to perceive.
You expect the one you love most
to not betray you and
to have mainly good intentions towards you.
You expect the one who buys your work or praises your creation
to have very good intentions towards you.
You do not expect the person you never saw
to have a desire to help you, and
you would never suspect him, whom you never heard of,
to have been the one who got you out of a danger.
But a rule for freedom is:
"Things are as they ARE,
and they are not
how you would
like or
expect them
to seem to be,
not
how you would expect them to appear"
This is, at second glance, a very tough rule.
It is tough, because perception,
- by which one establishes how things ARE -
is
almost always
this way:
ONE PERCEIVES
AS MUCH AS
ONE IS WILLING TO PERCEIVE.
So, with 'Things are as they ARE',
you are actually demanding of yourself
to perceive more than you are willing to perceive.
But that is a rule for achieving and maintaining freedom.
It may appear as a rule of little importance to you,
not even worth mentioning, maybe.
But for sure,
empires and populations
have been destroyed and annihilated
for the lack of it.
The denial of this rule
in the Church of Scientology, especially since 1982,
almost completely destroyed it and
practically forbade the use
of its tremendously valuable technology to Mankind.
