RI-471i 'Two Ways of Analyzing Life-situations'
from Ambassador for Mankind (Ron's Inspector)
Message # RI-471i for Internet
There are two different ways
of analyzing things
which seem to be similar or the same.
One way is
to collect the data and the viewpoints
that you and other people
have on some subject or some situation,
and
then you figure out
that what all have in common
AND which makes sense
AND which explains the situation or the subject.
This is what normal history books
(that means: those who write history books) do.
This is what normal, sane people do.
This is what some
not so very successful
managers of industry or
politicians or
philosophers
do.
How come this very sane thing to do
is NOT sufficient
for being a very successful manager of industry?
How come this very sane thing to do
- the ability to collect relevant data,
the willingness to see and respect
the viewpoint of others -
is NOT sufficient
for being a successful politician?
How come this very sane thing to do
- the ability and desire
to evaluate data and
to establish common agreements and
to make people see that they actually
have much of their seemingly opposing viewpoints
in common -
how come
this is NOT sufficient
for a successful philosopher?
Well, there are two ways of analyzing things.
(That means, there are two ways which I want to
point out and show to be different.
Of course there are
as many ways of analyzing things
as there are independent people who analyze.)
The other way of analyzing things
ALSO includes
collecting the relevant data and
getting the viewpoints of others
on a subject or situation
which you are examining.
But now you DON'T GO FOR WHAT THEY HAVE IN COMMON.
You DON'T GO FOR WHAT EXPLAINS AND UNITES
ALL THESE DIFFERENT VIEWPOINTS.
(Going for and explaining
what unites all these different viewpoints,
that's PHYSICAL SCIENCE, you see.)
People and their activities
are NOT physical science,
they are spiritual science.
So let's come to this other way of analyzing things.
The other way is:
Collecting data and viewpoints, and
understanding these, and
then looking at the PURPOSE you want to achieve.
That is to say, sanely,
the PURPOSE you want others to achieve.
And to explain 'sanely' further:
A sane person has for others the PURPOSE
that they
do follow - and are allowed and able to work towards -
their own native, self-chosen purposes.
Now you could see already
that, (in the first way of analyzing)
with finding and using the common viewpoint
that explains what happened or
explains what very different things people think,
we don't get very far.
For example,
a "common" viewpoint is
that
'war is unavoidable
but that we try to postpone its outbreak
as long as possible,
and that everyone endures its atrocities
as best as he can'.
You read this kind of thing
in history books,
in newspapers,
and probably also
in the memoirs (autobiography, or written down
own memories of one's present lifetime)
of many politicians.
And I am talking about
very sane people
with good intentions
for Mankind,
with a high liking for others and
a good ability to understand others.
My point is that it is not high ENOUGH.
The higher way of analyzing things includes PURPOSE.
A sane PURPOSE brings life.
And a sane purpose is
to enable others
to follow their
native purposes and
native interests.
