RI-514Ri 'Confessionals and Blackmail - VERY VERY IMPORTANT'
from Ambassador for Mankind
Message # RI-514Ri for Internet
"As far as I am concerned,
someone coming for a confessional
should have the idea
that he comes to be FREED FROM HIS CRIMES -
which may involve him making his crimes known
to those who have been affected by his crimes.
"As far as I am concerned,
the confessional is NOT COMPLETE
as long as the person confessing
is not willing to have his crimes
known to the people affected by his crimes."
'Ambassador for Mankind'
The confusion is entered on the subject of PUNISHMENT.
But there is a Law on Groups and Punishment:
Someone
who fully confesses his crime and
who is willing to remedy the effects of it
in some workable, practical way,
MUST NOT BE PUNISHED FOR IT
when all people concerned
are adequately informed about his crime.
This might be a new thought for you.
You can formulate a Law on Groups and Confessionals:
The stronger the demand is
that confessions are kept secret
from as many people as possible, and
the more the confession
is to be hidden or even
completely deleted from any records,
the more
irresponsibility there is -
NOT ONLY irresponsibility
for the people who are or have been
AFFECTED by the crime confessed,
but ALSO irresponsibility
for the PERSON confessing,
AND irresponsibility
for the well-being of the WHOLE group.
This is really not hard to understand:
Someone steals the medicines and
sells these for good money
which he lives well on.
He confesses this,
but he demands that it is kept secret,
even deleted from any records.
And so, people who are sick,
continue to die for lack of medicine.
And other people
continue to try to investigate and remedy the mystery.
As far as I am concerned,
someone coming for a confessional
should have the idea
that he comes to be FREED FROM HIS CRIMES -
which may involve him making his crimes known
to those who have been affected by his crimes.
As far as I am concerned,
the confessional is NOT COMPLETE
as long as the person confessing
is not willing to have his crimes
known to the people affected by his crimes.
Basically, confessionals are not confidential,
because others have a right to know
who stole their money,
who ruined their life,
who planted false evidence on them, or
who secretly forced drugs on them -
to give a few examples.
Basically, confessionals are NOT confidential, and
a person confessing
should be aware of the fact
that a confessional is not complete
until he is willing
to have those affected by his crimes
be informed of what he did to them.
I personally
don't consider a confessional complete
until I have achieved this
tremendous resurgence and return of freedom
to the person confessing.
ONLY THIS IS TRUE RELIEF, AND TRUE FREEDOM.
(see also RI-53i 'Past Life Criminals and Scn Ethics' of 29 July 1994)
This also has an advantage
- a tremendous advantage actually -
for the one doing the confession:
The person who confesses his crimes
DOES NOW NOT MIND AND
IS NOW NOT WORRIED ABOUT
WHETHER HIS CRIMES WILL BE MADE KNOWN BY YOU.
He does not consider you a potential blackmailer,
because you can't threaten him anymore.
Can you see this?
You have restored to him
the FREEDOM FROM BEING BLACKMAILED.
He says, and that truly and honestly:
"I don't mind that you tell this to others -
I want others to know what I did to them, and
I stand by what I did to others,
because
I am now free of any compulsion to do it again, and
I am very happy to honestly tell others
that
I AM NOW FREE FROM
THE NECESSITY TO COMMIT
THESE CRIMES ON THEM.
Added to this is
- for you, the pastor, or person hearing confessions -
the aspect
that it is silly for you to inform people randomly
of the crimes of others
that those others
have committed and
have become free of committing again, and
that they
now also like to confess to others
so as to remedy the effects they created.
Yourself publishing these crimes of others
WITHOUT OBVIOUS REASON OR NECESSITY
would likely only backfire on yourself
and put doubt on your intentions.
Rather,
you would be proud to inform others
that you made someone
free of the necessity to take drugs and push drugs, or
that you made someone
into a responsible parent, or
into a brilliant student, or
into a responsible citizen
who prevents violence in subways or on the street.
