                   RI-602i  'Definition of Power'

   Being in, or creating, a position of Power
    is
    finding out or knowing or being informed
     what people's different goals
      and various desired activities are,
    and
    helping them and organizing them
     so that they all can pursue
      their various goals and
      their different activities.


The more you are able to do this,
 the more you are in Power.

The more you violate this principle,
 the faster you will lose your Power, or
  never achieve it in the first place.


An example of somebody who gained and maintains Power is
 Chancellor Helmut Kohl of the Federal Republic of Germany,
 as described in
   RI-593i 'German Chancellor Helmut Kohl
   on L. Ron Hubbard' of 11 June 1996.



Now, various people
 have very thoroughly perverted
  this very simple definition of Power.


It was perverted by L. Ron Hubbard,
 who completely missed this definition,
  because it only appeals
  to a small part of this character
   (and I did not manage to keep that part of this character
    shining for very long).
L. Ron Hubbard defined "Power" as
  "stay connected with your supporters", meaning
  "don't stop them from contributing to you
   and sending you presents".
 His 'stay connected' was and is synonymous with
  "be able to control as many people as possible".
And he added with his Policy
 "The Responsibilities of Leaders" of 12 Feb 1967,
 that one can lie and cheat, and, most of all,
 that one must let one's supporters do as they please,
  no matter how evil they are to people,
   as long as they give support to oneself.
That is the whole "Power Formula"
 written down - and also lived - by L. Ron Hubbard,
  to the enormous detriment of himself, and
  to the great sorrow of those people
   who he - to some extent at least,
    in the beginning, between 1945 and 1965 -
     had some sane and correct Power over,
     per my definition above.




I'll just repeat here
 the correct definition of being in Power
  in order to lift you out of those dark perversions of "Power"
   and to brighten you up again:

   Being in, or creating, a position of Power
    is
    finding out or knowing or being informed
     what people's different goals
      and various desired activities are,
    and
    helping them and organizing them
     so that they all can pursue
      their various goals and
      their different activities.



All right,
 this definition has been perverted and corrupted
  in many ways with famous shortcuts to "Power".

But understanding this perversion
 is ALSO a very very simple subject.


Understanding the perversion many people call "Power"
 consists of
 one simple word,
 one simple concept,
  and that is:
               Betrayal!


The wife supports the husband
 because the husband helps her to create a family.
Now the husband starts visiting and supporting
 some other women
  and thereby considerably diminishes his contribution
   to his wife, to his children and family,
   and this might go so far
    as him being quite destructive to his wife and family.
But in order to stay in "Power", in his own family,
 he hides this
  and so he is betraying his wife and children and family,
 and he also has to betray the other women he visits,
  by making false promises to them or giving them false hopes.
And now he is in "Power"
 of several women and some children.
He can determine to some extent what they can have,
 and he can deny to them
  some things or experiences they want to have.

He can control them to some extent,
 and this he calls "Power",
  but it IS just betrayal!
His Power depends on
 the desire of his wife to contribute to him,
  in return for his support of her desire
  to create and enjoy a family-life with him.
He pretends to still do that, and so she still thinks
 she is contributing to a sane family-life,
  and that's how he stays in "Power".



And to brighten you up again,
 I give you here the correct definition of Power:

   Being in, or creating, a position of Power
    is
    finding out or knowing or being informed
     what people's different goals
      and various desired activities are,
    and
    helping them and organizing them
     so that they all can pursue
      their various goals and
      their different activities.



And some people have figured out some shortcuts to this,
 to getting in Power and being in Power
  without doing the work for it,
 and then they call THAT
  "The Subject of Getting in Power and Staying in Power".

They describe to you - they in actuality define -
  the subject of
   earning money and enjoying possessions
 as
  the subject of
   how to rob and steal successfully without getting caught.
And they write books about this, very successful books,
  Machiavelli did, to name one.


Many historians write about the "great" people in history,
 who were nothing more than
  very insane and very evil robbers and murderers,
 and were not great figures of history at all.

And then we have those people
 who write books in order to make you believe
  that these individuals, these robbers
   are not Traitors, but are "in Power".


There is a particular genre or type of writers
 who spend considerable efforts in their books
  on making you NOT look at this betrayal,
 and
 who go to very great length
  in making you FORGET about the correct definition of Power.

We have the very famous 16th Century writer Castiglione,
 who wrote a book about how the honorable and noble rulers
  are behaving at their Italian Renaissance Courts.

And he did a great job of NOT describing
 what these Italian Renaissance rulers, like Isabella d'Este,
  ACTUALLY did.

It is not unlike the Booklet recently published
 about the "life" of L. Ron Hubbard,
  published by his "Sea Org" slaves organization.


And not unlike this
 Advisor (of German decent) to former American President Nixon,
 - I don't remember his name at the moment -
 on "Balance of Power",
 meaning
  that the world NEEDS to be governed
   by at least two traitors
    who have more or less the same amount of weapons
     and
    who are opposed and STAY opposed to each other.
That is HIS idea and recipe for World Peace:
  Both should have an equal amount of atomic bombs
   directed at each other,
  and that should keep the surrounding smaller countries
   free from being conquered by either of them.


How far can you go
 in preventing others from seeing Treason?
The Russian people were betrayed,
 and more and more Russian people found out
  that they WERE being betrayed,
 and therefore
  more and more Russians in Russia stopped contributing to a
   united - Russian dominated - Soviet Union.
 And so
  the "Power" of the Soviet Union, around 1990
   suddenly became nothing.


The ACTUAL definition of Power
 had been completely violated in the Soviet Union.



And to brighten you up,
 I'll give you the actual definition of Power again:

   Being in, or creating, a position of Power
    is
    finding out or knowing or being informed
     what people's different goals
      and various desired activities are,
    and
    helping them and organizing them
     so that they all can pursue
      their various goals and
      their different activities.



All the other definitions of "Power"
 are
 shortcuts
  which all involve and all are based on
   betraying - in one way or the other -
    the desire of people to contribute,
  and are all intelligent and camouflaged betrayals
    of the agreements made with people's desires
     to contribute and get contribution in return.



So that you don't go and accuse me of
 not writing and not giving you
 the actual definition of Power,
  I'll give it to you here again:

   Being in, or creating, a position of Power
    is
    finding out or knowing or being informed
     what people's different goals
      and various desired activities are,
    and
    helping them and organizing them
     so that they all can pursue
      their various goals and
      their different activities.
