     USP-042  'Living with a Suppressive Person - the mystery'

One of many definitions of 'Suppressive Person':

Somebody who enforces from others understanding for himself while
at the same time denying and preventing others from having real
Understanding for him.

The purpose of the Suppressive Person is to make someone "understand"
something about the Suppressive Person while preventing an
Understanding of the rest of the Suppressive Person.

The enforcement is that others are demanded to believe, to admit, to
"know", to state, and to act as if they do "really" understand and
know the Suppressive Person when they ONLY "understand" what the
Suppressive Person puts out for public inspection.


Thereby the Suppressive Person forces others to perform the
impossible mental act of having to consider and feel that they ONLY
"really" understand, that they ONLY have "real" understanding for the
Suppressive Person when they DON'T Understand him, when they DON'T
have true Understanding for him AT ALL.

The demand of the Suppressive Person on you is:  "You only really
understand me when you don't Understand me", which is an
impossibility, and this can and does act as a mystery that keeps
one's attention fixed onto a Suppressive Person.


And what keeps you glued to a Suppressive Person, and that keeps
others glued to a Suppressive Person.

He pours out validation and attention and (pretended) affinity for
you when you "understand" him, but he withdraws from you, he runs
away and invalidates the hell out of you when you want to really
Understand him.

And you can't figure out what you have done wrong to deserve his
withdrawal or his biting accusations.
YOU have not done anything wrong other than being alive - as
aliveness IS the effort to achieve and enjoy true Understanding.

Footnote:

You can't have or maintain good without understanding evil.

NONE of the present sciences, therapies and religions, and
none of the "-isms" or "-ologies" of today understand evil
or suppression.

Yet they have abundant - and sometimes very expensive -
recipes for "being good forever". Even when they claim to
understand evil, they want to be unaware of and hide their
own evil and so they become evil themselves, and they meet
evil with evil in order "to defend themselves or their group".

It is not possible to handle properly someone who is evil or
something that is evil WITHOUT understanding WHAT PRECISELY
you are handling.

YOU CAN'T HANDLE AN EVIL BEING, FOR INSTANCE, UNLESS YOU
UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE HANDLING A BEING, AND THAT YOU ARE
HELPING HIM - A BEING - TO CONTROL HIS EVIL.

The Understanding Suppression Series will help you - maybe
for the first time - to understand evil well enough in order
to maintain good. I have taken care to write as easy to
understand as possible. The Series starts out very simple,
and currently consists of about 150 separate observations.

Keeping this knowledge to yourself will not maintain good
- because others, lacking understanding of evil, will
unintentionally assist evil - but you sharing this knowledge
with others WILL make you win over evil, and WILL safeguard
good.
