USP-061 '"It is all a misunderstanding"'

Understanding Suppression Series # 61

(See Footnote for understanding)

One of many definitions of 'Suppressive Person':

Somebody who believes that there are no Suppressive Persons, really.

He may voice his belief, and usually you hear from him that "he
stands above people who believe that there really are Suppressive
Persons".
He is being very right - he "knows that people aren't that bad".

The sole purpose of his belief is to not-look at his own evil.

He thinks about himself that he can only remain "sane" and "happy"
as long as he believes that he himself is not a Suppressive Person.

So others who are Suppressive Persons ALSO "didn't really mean it
like that", when they did something evil:
"It was all just a misunderstanding - based on lack of data or on
 some misfortune".

This is particularly annoying to people who DO look at suppression.

The Suppressive Person tells them:
"The fact that you are upset (about suppression, about evil, about
betrayal, etc.) shows that there is something wrong with YOU!"
"You are just blaming your upset on another and only THEREFORE you
 call him a Suppressive Person!"

But when it is the Suppressive Person who is very upset, then his
concept 'magically' changes into its opposite:
When he himself is very upset, then the fault is never with him -
HIS "holy anger", his "unrepairable grief" is fully justified, HE is
fully entitled to take revenge.

In this way, your perception or attempted perception of actual
suppression is denied and invalidated by a Suppressive Person.
He actually accuses you of perceiving evil and of being decent
and caring:
"YOU (by perceiving suppression) spread hate and upsets -
YOU (by perceiving their evil intentions) don't love people".

The Suppressive Person blames his upsets about himself (his upsets
about his own evil when that evil becomes obvious) - and the upsets
of others about themselves (their upsets about their own evil when
their evil becomes obvious) - on people who are not suppressive at
all. Decent and responsible people show up evil - they are not to be
blamed for the evil, of course.

It is very annoying to have people like him around:
He continuously radiates insanity - often with great certainty - and
he supports illogical and covert attacks on decent and responsible
individuals.

For him "everybody is more or less a Suppressive Person", and "as
one can't call everybody a Suppressive Person, no one is really a
Suppressive Person".

It is a "survival" strategy for himself to prevent himself from being
labeled, correctly, what he is. (Of course the only survival thing
for him IS to be labeled exactly what he is, as only this opens up
the road to a remedy. But he does not look that far.)

And when somebody or he himself IS being called a Suppressive Person
by another, then that may be "perfectly true, but only IN THE MIND of
the other".
"Any opponent is seen as a Suppressive Person", is what this actual
Suppressive Person thinks, and also believes to be true because he
does not want to look further than the fact that he is being opposed.
He does not want to look why he is opposed, he does not want to look
out of what intention he is being opposed.
His safe solution is "Anyone who opposes me is a Suppressive Person",
or - in more popular language - "Shoot first and then ask questions".

That of course makes anyone into a Suppressive Person "as needed",
and in this way the Suppressive Person destroys and invalidates and
denies the vital, vital concept of Suppressive Person, a concept
without which one cannot maintain good, or may not even achieve good.

The observations I make are all common sense observations which are
and have been the tools of anybody, throughout history, to achieve
real improvement and real well-being.

But, according to this type of Suppressive Person, actual, real
Suppressive Persons - who actually work towards the destruction of
others by pretending to help them - do NOT exist.

It will take a long stretch of correct therapy before you get this
type of Suppressive Person really and calmly to state that an actual
real Suppressive Person IS an actual real Suppressive Person.

And it will take a much longer stretch of correct therapy until he
keeps to that certainty all of the time - (at which time he himself
is not a Suppressive Person anymore).

Until that time, you will have to do most of the looking for him,
because for him, reality does not exist.

Footnote:

You can't have or maintain good without understanding evil.

NONE of the present sciences, therapies and religions, and
none of the "-isms" or "-ologies" of today understand evil
or suppression.

Yet they have abundant - and sometimes very expensive -
recipes for "being good forever". Even when they claim to
understand evil, they want to be unaware of and hide their
own evil and so they become evil themselves, and they meet
evil with evil in order "to defend themselves or their group".

It is not possible to handle properly someone who is evil or
something that is evil WITHOUT understanding WHAT PRECISELY
you are handling.

YOU CAN'T HANDLE AN EVIL BEING, FOR INSTANCE, UNLESS YOU
UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE HANDLING A BEING, AND THAT YOU ARE
HELPING HIM - A BEING - TO CONTROL HIS EVIL.

The Understanding Suppression Series will help you - maybe
for the first time - to understand evil well enough in order
to maintain good. I have taken care to write as easy to
understand as possible. The Series starts out very simple,
and currently consists of about 150 separate observations.

Keeping this knowledge to yourself will not maintain good
- because others, lacking understanding of evil, will
unintentionally assist evil - but you sharing this knowledge
with others WILL make you win over evil, and WILL safeguard
good.
